The Peninsula Bangkok
We checked in to The Peninsula Bangkok around 11:30 pm. Due to the time checking in (late in the evening) we didn’t have to wait. Check-in was smooth and quick. When checking in to hotels in Thailand you are required to show your passport and departure card (filled out on the plane).

Entrance & Lobby
Our Room
Our room is a Grand Deluxe Suite that includes an office area, separate living, and dining room, a large separate private bedroom, and two bathrooms (full and half/powder room). We are on the 16th floor and have a total of 6 picture windows overlooking the Chao Phraya river. The views are amazing!

Restaurant / Breakfast
Included with our room was an amazing breakfast buffet at the River Cafe Terrace.
WOW! Amazing room! And what a view! Great pics. (New camera getting the job done.) Time for R & R! What is the orchid floating in the water for? (Decoration? Finger bowl? … Dessert? )
Hmmm, that’s a good question. I think in this case it would be as decoration. Think of it as a flesh cut orchid flower in a vase of water. Also when checking into the nicer hotels it is customary for them to give you a warm wet towel to wash your hands/face (feels great after long flight), and a fresh Jasmin flower garland (Thai call it “Phuang Malai” for Jasmin Garland). The aroma of fresh Jasmin flowers is awesome in your hotel room!
