Day 02 of 22
Flight | Bangkok to Chiang Rai | Thai Smile Airlines
Waking up at the Novotel Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport after a comfortable night’s sleep was a great start to our journey to Northern Thailand (sorry, we were tired and forgot to take pictures of our room). After a quick buffet breakfast, we made our way (a short walk) to Bangkok International Airport, Suvarnabhumi for our flight to Chiang Rai.
Suvarnabhumi Airport Bangkok
Our early flight to Chiang Rai finally gave us the rare opportunity to visit Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport during daylight hours. In the past, when visiting Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport, it’s always been during the nighttime. Usually, our arrival and departure flights usually always happen late at night. We’ve always been amazed at Suvarnabhumi’s modern and spacious terminal, but seeing it for the first time during the day was even more impressive!
Thai Smile Airlines
We had a great experience flying with Thai Smile Airlines. They offer a convenient and affordable option for travelers seeking to explore the northern regions of Thailand. As soon as we boarded the plane, we were greeted by friendly and professional crew members who made us feel at home. The seats were comfortable and provided ample legroom, making the flight a comfortable one. The overhead compartments were spacious and convenient for storing our carry-on luggage. Our flight time was around 1 hour and 25 minutes.
During the flight, we were pleasantly surprised by the bag lunch that was provided. The chicken sandwich was delicious and tasted fresh. It was a great way to enjoy a light meal while in-flight. The bag lunch also included a bottle of water and a hand wipe (refreshing tissue).
