Front of Caesars Palace
We had an early flight this morning – woke up at 2am with our flight leaving at 5:25am. Everything went smooth today, great weather and smooth flight. We arrived at Las Vegas around 9am. At the time we arrived it was too early to check into our hotel (New York Hotel & Casino). We were able to check our bags in with the hotel so by 9:30am we were out walking on the strip. We had an early brunch at Bacchanal in Caesars Palace Casino. It offered an awesome variety of food including some great seafood. After lunch we walked the entire length of the main strip and back – 4.4 miles! Needless to say, we got our excise for the day! After this we checked in to our hotel.
View From Our Room – A Roller-Coaster!
We just got a standard room, nothing real fancy. In the past you had more options for high floor or good view but now days they want to up-charge for each of these options. We just decided to go with the standard room which does happen to come with a view of their roller-coaster! Yes the New York Hotel & Casino has a indoor/outdoor roller-coaster. Its an ok roller-coaster, not great – I did ride it when we were here 17 years ago.
Our conference Bentley ProjectWise will be here at the casino on Monday and Tuesday. We’ll fly back home on Wednesday.
Ok its time to rest up a little bit so we can pull an all-nighter gambling in the casino! Nope, not likely – a bit too tired after long day of traveling and walking. :^)
