Wat Laem Pho Ko Yo Island
After leaving Hat Yai Municipal Park, we continued our day trip toward Songkhla. We crossed the Tinsulanonda Bridge to reach the small island of Ko Yo. We stopped here off to visit the large outdoor reclining Buddha at Wat Laem Pho.
Laem Pho Temple is considered to be one of the oldest and most important temples in Songkhla Province, built over 200 years ago.
In addition to visiting the beautiful reclining Buddha, we also got to enjoy some awesome homemade coconut ice cream (in a coconut shell) there’s nothing more refreshing than this on a hot day!
After a short visit at Wat Laem Pho, we continued on, where we caught a short ferry to cross over into Songkhla.
