The Grand Palace in Bangkok is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Thailand. The palace was built in 1782 and was the official residence of the Kings of Siam until 1946. The palace complex covers an area of 218,000 square meters and is surrounded by walls that are 4 meters high and 1,900 meters long.

The Grand Palace is a complex of buildings that includes several courtyards, temples, halls, and museums. The most famous building in the complex is Wat Phra Kaew, which houses the Emerald Buddha, the most sacred image in Thai Buddhism. Other notable buildings include the Boromphiman Hall, where the king held audiences with his officials, and the Chakri Maha Prasat Hall, which houses the royal throne room.
Today, the palace is a popular tourist destination, with its intricate architecture and stunning gardens. Visitors can explore the palace grounds, which include several temples, and see firsthand the splendor of this historic site.
