Okura Prestige Bangkok
Usually, when arriving in Bangkok from the US, you arrive late at night (Korean Air or Japan ANA Airlines). But with us flying from Qatar, we arrived in Bangkok very early in the morning (7 am).
Even though we had awesome flights from O’hare to Doha and Doha to Bangkok, our bags failed to arrive with us in Bangkok. Apparently this was common with flights originating from the US (due to COVID-19 and staff shortages). This was only a temporary setback, as our bags arrived in Bangkok the following morning and were delivered to our hotel.
After fighting some rush hour traffic, we arrived at our hotel in Bangkok – Okura Prestige Bangkok
This would be our second visit to Okura Prestige, Bangkok. We stayed here in November 2013. You can check out our post from our previous stay at Okura Prestige Bangkok | Nov 2013.
Our plan was to stay here for two weeks while we looked for a condo in Bangkok (which we were able to find on our 11th day in the city).
Included with our room was an impressive breakfast buffet that included:
- Thai dishes
- Freshly baked pastries and bread
- Omelets cooked to order
- Healthy options include fresh fruit and salads
- International dishes such as pancakes and waffles
From the moment we arrived, our expectations were exceeded by the impeccable service and warm hospitality that was extended to us during our stay. The staff was friendly and attentive, always eager to help with whatever we needed.
After long days looking for condos in Bangkok, it was so nice to come back to such a comfortable atmosphere where we could relax and unwind.
