Millennium Mitsui Garden Hotel Tokyo
Since our trip to Tokyo was a last-minute decision I didn’t have a lot of time to plan. After looking over a few websites (TripAdvisor, Agoda, etc.) I quickly zeroed in on Millennium Mitsui Garden Hotel Tokyo. It was located in one of the nicer areas of Tokyo – Ginza and had a lot of wonderful reviews. Ginza is Tokyo’s most famous upmarket shopping, dining, and entertainment district, featuring numerous department stores, boutiques, art galleries, restaurants, nightclubs, and cafes.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Millennium Mitsui Garden Hotel Tokyo. We liked that it was fairly new hotel (5 years old) with a very modern design and included breakfast.
We liked our room’s design and layout – very intelligent with no wasted space and included numerous amenities (two bottles of fresh water per day, coffee, Shiseido Beauty products for the women. toothbrush, toothpaste, razor blades, and shaving cream, etc.). Some consider the rooms here to be small but we found ours to be just the right size (and probably considered large by Japanese standards). There was a separate room for the toilet (an awesome “smart” Toto!) and room for a shower and bathtub.
The hotel is within walking distance to many famous spots such as Tsukiji fish market, Kabuki-za Theatre (most famous in Japan), and some of Japan’s oldest department stores – Matsuya Ginza 1925 and Ginza Mitsukoshi 1930. The largest Uniqlo in the world (12 floors) is also located in Ginza.
