Hin Dad Hot Springs

The hot springs are said to have healing properties, and many people come here to relax and rejuvenate. The waters are especially popular with tour groups, who often make a stop at the hot springs as part of their itinerary.

If you’re looking for a unique and relaxing experience, Hin Dad Hot Springs is definitely worth a visit.

Hin Dad Hot Spring or Kuimang Hot Spring was discovered by Japanese soldiers who forced prisoners of war to build the Death Railway(Burma Railway) during World War II. It was a natural hot spring with underground natural fountain flowing throughout the year.

There are 3 cement ponds with different heat levels, namely, a high-temperature hot spring, a medium-temperature hot spring, and a small hot spring with a low temperature suitable for children, as well as a separate pond for monks. The surface water temperature is 40-100 degrees Celsius, while the hot spring water temperature is 45-55 degrees Celsius. It is believed that bathing with mineral water or soaking in hot springs is beneficial and healthy to the body due to its healing properties.
