Ginza Chuo-Dori

Weekend Pedestrian Paradise

As I’ve stated before, Ginza is Tokyo’s most famous upmarket shopping, dining, and entertainment district – featuring numerous department stores, boutiques, art galleries, restaurants, nightclubs, and cafes.  It is said that one square meter (10.76 sq. ft.) of land in this district’s center is worth over ten million yen ($91,370), making it one of the most expensive real estate in Japan.

On the weekends the main shopping road, Chuo-Dori Street is closed to automobile traffic and becomes a huge pedestrian shopping paradise.

The pictures of the two cars (1967 Nissan R380 A-II & Current Model Nissan GT-R) was taken at Nissan Crossing, the flagship showroom of Japan’s motoring giant, where the flashiest concept vehicles and rare classic cars are on display.
