Arashiyama Bamboo Forest Kyoto
After a delightful visit to Okochi Sanso Garden, we crossed over to the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest in Kyoto. This place is famous for its tall bamboo stalks that reach up to the sky, forming a tunnel-like pathway for visitors to stroll through. As we walked, the wind swayed the stalks and rustled the leaves above, creating a soothing sound. Even on a sunny day, the bamboo forest filters much of the bright light, casting the surroundings in a softer, more ethereal glow. It felt like stepping into another world.
However, while the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest is one of the most popular places to visit in Kyoto, we felt it might be a bit overhyped compared to the other wonderful places in the area. It’s a unique experience, but there’s so much more to explore in Kyoto. So, if you’re planning a visit, make sure to check out other attractions as well!
