Akihabara

Akihabara is a buzzing shopping hub known for its electronics retailers and shops specializing in manga, anime, video games, souvenirs, toys, trading cards, and collectibles. It is also very common to find staff (mostly young girls) dressed as maids or butlers serving tea and desserts at nearby maid cafes. In more recent years, Akihabara has gained recognition as the center of Japan’s otaku (diehard fan) culture.

At night, much like Shibuya Scramble Crossing, many of the buildings in this area are covered in bright colorful LED lights and neon signs (one of best spots in Tokyo).
